Archer Privacy Policy
PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE APPLICATIONS OR RELATED SERVICES THAT WE OFFER. BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR APPLICATIONS OR OUR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY.
Your use of the Applications and related Services is subject to the terms stated this Privacy Policy and any other terms we may provide you, this includes the license agreements for our products and services. Please note that your privacy is important to us.
A. WHAT ARE APPLICATIONS AND WHAT ARE RELATED SERVICES?
Under the term
Applications we understand all Applications that are downloadable either from online
stores or from our web pages. This includes, but is not limited to, the Archer
Editor, the Archer Runtime and all Software Applications that are accessible and
installable. Services means primarily Cloud Services such as the Archer Cloud and
other non downloadable Software functionality that enables you to process data of
any kind.
B. WHAT INFORMATION IS OBTAINED BY THE APPLICATIONS OR RELATED
SERVICES
You may be prompted by the Applications or Services to provide
personal information such as email, name or address. The Applications or Services
also collect browsing data and other publicly accessible information sent from your
computer in standard communication protocols such as HTTP and HTTPS. Using the
Applications and Services is in some areas similar to using a web browser where
information is shared with Google Analytics, facebook, twitter or other commonly
used social media networks. The Applications or Services may access content on other
web pages for display on your computer and potentially all access information is
stored for the down or uploaded contents. An example is the Archer Editor where
tutorial projects are displayed in the start window. In this case analytics data is
stored when the Archer Editor is opened and you are connected to the internet, here
the number of downloads is counted. Another example is the Archer Cloud where you
must provide an email to log in. This email address is stored on our servers to
handle the log-in process.
C. PROJECT DATA GENERATED BY YOU
Project data that you create such as drawings,
configuration files, or other content that is storable as a file, is either saved
locally on your computer or on another computer in the cloud. When you work with the
Archer Editor the project files are stored locally on your computer. When you share
the project via the Archer Cloud, then it is stored in the Cloud on our or third
party servers (eg. Amazon Cloud). The Archer Host allows you to share project data
publicly, restrict sharing only for defined users or no sharing at all with access
for your user account only. Publicly shared projects may be downloaded or further
processed by us or other users. Meta tags like ratings or favourite settings may be
added to your public project by other users. By making a project publicly available
you grant the rights as selected during the sharing process. Please note: we do our
best in keeping your own Cloud projects secret, however be aware that you shall not
upload projects where you do not have the rights (eg. customer project data) and we
cannot be held liable when personal projects are made available through technical
defects, this means you upload your project data at your own risk. If you choose in
the Applications or Services to share your project data with a third party platform,
please note that you are agreeing to that platform’s use of your content and
information consistent with its relevant privacy and other policies. We are not
responsible for the privacy practices employed by any third party platform.
D. SHARING AND PROCESSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will not share your
personal information without your consent or unless required by law. We only
processes personal information for the purpose of providing, improving and ensuring
the delivery new features and services to users. We may share with third parties
certain pieces of aggregated, non-personal information, for example statistics about
Archer projects and the number of sites using Archer. Such information does not
identify you individually. We restrict access to personal information to employees,
contractors, and agents who need to know that information in order to operate,
develop, or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality
obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal
prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
E. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time
to time. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes,
as continued use of the Application is deemed Approval of all changes. This Privacy
Policy is the sole statement of our privacy practices with respect to the
Applications and Services, and no summary, restatement or other version thereof is
valid.
